Design/Assigned Certification
Design/Assigned Certification
As the Assigned Certifier, we undertake to inspect, and co-ordinate the works of others during construction, and to certify the building or works on completion as required under the Building Control Regulations.
At Total Planning and Design Solutions, we hold appropriate professional indemnity insurance. This insurance helps cover any potential liabilities associated with our role in certifying compliance with building regulations.
Throughout the pre-construction process and construction program:
- The Assigned Certifier prepares and provides all relevant statutory certificates
- The Assigned Certifier prepares a preliminary inspection plan and oversees the adherence to this plan
- The AC coordinates all the ancillary certification
- The Assigned Certifier conducts regular site inspections to ensure that the work is being carried out in compliance with the approved design, regulations, and standards.
- Maintaining detailed records of inspections, documentation, and any deviations from the approved plans as these records contribute to the certification process.
- The AC can seek advice from the Building Control Authority with respect of compliance issues relating to the project
- A Certificate of Compliance with Building Regulations is issued upon completion of the construction project. This document signifies that the building has been constructed in accordance with the approved design and meets the required standards.
